Welcome to Arvada!
Located few miles west of Denver, Arvada is within close proximity to Denver International Airport and the Downtown Denver business district. Arvada has eight mini parks and 55 larger neighborhood parks for recreation and leisure activities such as the Arvada Equestrian Center and Allendale Park. The nature of this part of Colorado is reflected in Majestic View Nature Center, which is a 3,000-sq-ft (278 sq m) park providing environmental displays, wildlife exhibits, wetland areas, an interpretive trail and a lake. The Historic Olde Town Arvada hosts annual events highlighting Arvada's history and culture such as June's Gold Strive Festival and April's Victorian Ball. Other fun activities include the Chocolate Fair in February, which marks a special celebration for all lovers and the Arvada Harvest Festival in September, which features a parade of 6,000 participants, a food fair, a harvest fair and a talent show. The Arvada Center is a place for arts and musicals featuring a children's theater, a history museum and classical and contemporary dance performances.
